Submission of Student Complaints

The University provides various processes for students to file a complaint, depending on their concern. The following outlines resources available to students to submit a complaint. 

Informal Complaint Resolution Resource - The Ombuds Office is available to assist students in identifying a grievance procedure to utilize for a particular complaint or concern. If a student would like to talk to someone informally and confidentially about the problem they are having, they may contact the appropriate Ombuds Office, which can provide advice about the options available to students and can also assist in finding an informal way of resolving the problem. 

Student Reporting Resources – Provides contact information for reporting a variety of campus concerns and issues (i.e., technology barriers, property theft, conflict resolution) 

Unit/Department Grievance Procedures in the Policy Library – The College, schools, and corresponding departments’ processes for submission of complaints are kept in the Policy Library.

Unit/Department Grievance Procedures in Policystat – School and unit-level processes for submission of complaints are kept in Policystat. 

Kansas Board of Regents University Student Complaint Policy – Outlines process adopted by KBOR to review and appropriately act on student complaints.
