Sonja Erickson

Sonja joined Internal Audit after serving as the Director of Audit Services for the South Carolina Education Lottery.  Prior to that she held a variety of positions at the University of Missouri, including as a policy analyst, a management analyst, and as an internal auditor.  She has also worked as an auditor for Frederick County government in Maryland, and for the Kansas Division of Legislative Post Audit.  Sonja is originally from Manhattan, Kansas, and has a master’s degree in history and a bachelor’s degree in English and history from the University of Kansas.  She is a certified government auditing professional (CGAP) and a certified internal auditor (CIA).
